Veterans agriculture event set for March 20

March 10-- Mar. 10--The WV Farmer Veteran Coalition will host an event to explain to veterans interested in agriculture the "Homegrown by Heroes" label for their products.

The event will be held at Veterans Memorial Park, 4H Building, 93 Stadium Drive (off U.S. 19), Summersville, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on March 20.

Attendees are invited to the "Best of the Farm Pot Luck." Everyone is asked to bring their specialty for sampling, sharing and showing off, and set up a small display about their operation. The commercial kitchen in the building will open at 9 a.m.

The release said interested parties can join WVFVC for free to be Homegrown By Heroes to expand their market, shelf space, local products or help veterans. All veterans, active military and their families along with anyone interested in furthering agriculture in West Virginia and store owners seeking locally grown products can participate in The West Virginia Farmer Veteran Coalition.
