Harvey W. "Bill" Bright, 90, formerly of Centerville, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2017, in Cherry Tree Nursing Center, Uniontown.He was born December 3, 1926, in Morgantown, W.Va., a son of the late John Harvey and Anna Carney Bright.Mr. Bright was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II with Company H, 504th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 82nd Airborne Division. He completed 11 jumps.He was a retired employee of General Motors, Baltimore, Md., and was a member of United Auto Workers of America.Mr. Bright was a member of Blainesburg Bible Church, Brownsville, and served meals at Center in the Woods, California. He enjoyed spending time in his barn working on motors.Surviving are two brothers, Maynard Bright of Strausburg, Va. and James Bright (Sally) of North Royalton, Ohio; a sister, Judith Ashby (William) of Broad Run, Va.; a grandson, Christopher Roseman of Somerset; a stepdaughter, Joan Riffle of Canonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.Deceased, in addition to his parents, are his first wife, Joan E. Stronsider Bright; his second wife, Joan C. Huston Bright; two brothers, Curtis and Charles; a sister, Florence; and three stepdaughters, Faith, Judy and Linda.Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 19, in Mt. Union Cemetery, Route 119, Morgantown, with the Rev. Mike Peton officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to John B.
