This group is open to all in our community who may benefit from participating. ACA is a Twelve Step, Twelve Tradition program for adults who grew up in alcoholic or otherwise dysfunctional homes. Our membership also includes adults from homes where alcohol or drugs were not present; however, abuse, neglect or unhealthy behavior was. We meet to share our experience and recovery in an atmosphere of mutual respect. Using vintage overhead projectors, multiple screens, puppets, actors, live-feed cameras, multi-channel sound design and live music, Manual Cinema presents the story of 70-year-old Ada who, bereaved of her twin sister, Ava, solitarily marks time in the patterns of a life built for two. However, a traveling carnival and a trip to a mirror maze plunges her into a journey across the thresholds of life and death.
